Long before Chocolate Bash, Rasha Albasha dreamed of creating something big. Growing up in Syria, dessert cafes were part of everyday life. They were places where friends and families gathered over dessert, coffee, and conversation. Those experiences shaped her vision for what she would one day create.
In 2014, Rasha immigrated to the United States with her young daughter Maria, one suitcase, and a fresh start ahead of her. As she began rebuilding her life, she quickly realised that the dessert cafes she grew up with were missing. She set out to create a place that captured that same feeling, where people could gather, celebrate, and connect over desserts.
The Dream Arrives
In 2015, that vision became a reality, opening its first location in Newport Beach, California. Built from the ground up through hard work, long hours, and a passion, Chocolate Bash quickly became more than a dessert shop. It became a place where friends and families could come to celebrate life’s sweet moments
